The First Minister took to Twitter earlier today to note that compliance with the mandatory face masks policy appeared to be close to 100%, going by both anecdotal feedback and her own experience at shops.
From both anecdotal feedback and my own observation from a quick visit to a couple of shops earlier, making face coverings mandatory has resulted in close to 100% compliance. Well done, Scotland – let’s keep it up.

The First Minister’s tweet received a great many affirmative responses from medical experts, doctors and members of the public.
Here in Scotland, face mask wearing compliance seems really high, thank goodness.

There has been a three week high of 19 COVID infections in Scotland but thankfully zero deaths. The First Minister has confirmed that she is monitoring the situation closely.
